The General Manga Discussion Thread! Wooooo.
Anyway, I'm currently reading Yankee-kun to Megane-chan and so far I've been enjoying it. -------------------- - TheHeadSage

Also re-reading Red Eyes. Also need more Claymore and Berserk. Could try reading them online I suppose... -------------------- "We aren't men disguised as dogs. We're wolves disguised as men." -- Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade

doctor pedro i think you are going to fit in well around here as DMC is a club favourite (amine) and the manga from what I here is brilliant as well.
Anyway i have started reading Homoncolus and Full Metal Alchemist, also why don't we change this to the general comics thread rather than just manga? -------------------- |

Can't see any reason why not.
I have to go through my comics and see what I'm reading so I can go buy some more tomorrow. Ones I can remember: Buffy: Season 8 Angel: After the Fall Fables Jack of Fables Ultimate Spiderman (might have finished) Ex Machina Going to start on Y: The Last Man as well soon. Manga: Claymore Read or Die (need the last volume) Realy wish the second season of Law of Ueki would come out in english, but don't think it will. Anyone know where I can get scalations of all of the volumes? I can't seem to find all (think there is only 5 or 6) -------------------- Some twenty years ago, the gods put down their feet, So firmly in to the ground that no man of sword nor pen, could ever change the rules upon which The very fundament of metal was made. --The Book of Heavy Metal Hold your head up high, Raise your fist up in the air Play metal, Louder than Hell! --Die for Metal |

If we're posting US comics, well...
aside from most of the Marvel heavyweights Northlanders and DMZ from Vertigo Usagi Yojimbo Wasteland Conan the Cimmerian Berlin (when it comes out) Acme Novelty Library (also when it comes out) Gravel Captain Swing Doktor Sleepless Hellboy and BRPD The Love and Rockets reprint volumes The Simpsons RASL Astro City Also reading Full Metal Alchemist. As I have just returned to Australia from Japan, I'm out of the loop with comic shops. What is Geelong's local comic shop these days? (I'm assuming this is Deakin uni's gaming page) I think Ultimate Spiderman started again from issue 1 several months ago, which was the last straw for me, as far as the Ultimate titles went. The manga of DMC is piss-funny. The artwork is awful, but the scenes and story make up for it. The live action movie looks good, but when it came out in Japan, it didn't have english sub-titles (naturally), and my Japanese wasn't good enough to keep up. |

Unfortunately no comic shop in geelong. Comics R Us, Minotaur and another shop (can't remember the name of, near the top of Burke St) are the places to go in Melbourne.
I'm only upto Ultimate Spiderman 11 (hard cover) I'd heard it either finished or restarted or something, but I wasn't up to the end yet, so I'll see how it goes. -------------------- Some twenty years ago, the gods put down their feet, So firmly in to the ground that no man of sword nor pen, could ever change the rules upon which The very fundament of metal was made. --The Book of Heavy Metal Hold your head up high, Raise your fist up in the air Play metal, Louder than Hell! --Die for Metal |

Just finished Ultimate Spiderman 11 and read about what is next on wiki. They didn't start it again, they changed the name to Ultimate Comics: Spiderman and set it 6 months after the end of Ultimate Spiderman: Requiem.
Really like how the series is going and looking forward to the new series.
