Making a new thread for this. Think the last one was deleted a while ago.

Games Paradise are having a sale this January. 15% off everything, while stocks last.

Is anyone interested in joining in on an order?

I know there are various people interested in getting Junta. It is available from Games Paradise for ~$80.
If they have it available now, I'm sure Good Games could get it in and probably for a similar price.

After playing so much Galaxy Trucker and doing some detailed research on other games by Vlaada Chv?til I've decided that I'll just buy any of his games that interest me (after a little research/reading the rules of course).

So the next games I'm looking at getting are:
Dungeon Lords - Dungeon Keeper in boardgame form
Space Alert - Hectic co-op on a space ship
Through the Ages: A Story of Civilization - Civilization style game, minus the map.

He has done some other games, but most aren't available in english yet. Another big one of his is Prophecy. But it's pretty similar to Talisman so I won't get that one.

Another one that I'm going to keep an eye on is Sneaks and Snitches, which I think is out late this year.

I've been reading a bit about Space Alert... It sounds like it could be a really fun game to play, given the CD Soundtrack feature and the frantic co-op gameplay... I was considering actually buying it, but then found out it was selling for $99.95 at Games Paradise...

Some other games I am keen to play/try out:

Thunderstone - Dominion style game created by ex Magic guys... Quite interested in obtaining a copy... It's $59.95 at Games Paradise, though I'd probably order it at Good Games...
Race for the Galaxy - Card Game involving building Space Civilizations and other things...
Mission: Red Planet - An interesting strategy game about colonising Mars... Might be hard to find a copy...

Thunderstone looks interesting. I think I'd like it, but wasn't thinking about getting it.
Race for the Galaxy is basically San Juan, but I think a bit more complex (lots of icons to learn too) I'd check out San Juan computer games and see if you like it. If you do you'll probably like Race for the Galaxy.
Don't know much about Mission: Red Planet.

I'll be ordering all my games through Good Games I think, depending on prices. Regarding the $99 price, I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that board games are expensive. But if you play it enough it's cheaper than going to the movies and more fun in most cases.

Space Alert has come in and I'm picking it up tomorrow.
Hopefully we'll get a chance to play it, but I'm not sure, since it needs sound.

A new (decent looking) zombie game.
http://boardgame.geekdo.com/boardgame/6148...acy-of-the-dead
It is played from a government perspective. Each player controls a territory somewhere around the world and have to survive through the zombie apocalypse. There's a little bit of co-op and a little bit of screw your neighbor (sending zombies against them through various means) and looks quite interesting.

I noticed this game about a month or so ago... I really like the gameplay style.

Just recently decided that I'm going to get Through the Ages by Vlaada next.
And now FFG has announced a new Sid Meier's Civilization board game.

Think I'll still be getting Through the Ages because I love Vlaada's games, and it should turn out a bit different to the new Civ game. TtA doesn't have a map for starters.
