I'm struggling to find the motivation and time to work on the current website and the new design updates. It's going to take a long time for me to fix all the bugs as well as cleaning up the majority of the code. I've decided to instead look at using an Open Source CMS solution to replace the current website. It will also allow me to apply the new layout designs much more easily. I'm looking at using Drupal and not Joomla. From what I've seen and read, Drupal is the best solution for our website needs and hopefully won't be too much of a hassle with the forum member integration.
I'm happy to hear some more suggestion and ideas for the website. From the current website, I'm looking at doing the following changes:
- Remove the Twitter Feeds (already updated), since we don't currently use it.
- Remove the "Forum Activity" Panel, or improve it somehow.
- Remove the Banner Rotator on the homepage. Create a seperate "About Us" page with club information.
- Improve the Events database. Add more focus on the homepage (Right Panel Full List).
- Fix Anime Page. Remove restrictions on genre's having to be a sub genre. Allow main genre to be selected.
- Build Gaming Page/Database. This will be completely built with the new CMS. This will included our Board Game database, gaming gameplay sessions database, and user reviews.
- Add a contact us page.
- Add facebook integration.
