Is it just me or is this web site stalling in the mornings?
It works fine in the afternoon but stalls constantly in the mornings. I've so far only accessed the site at Deakin and haven't tried accessing it in the morning at home.
The syntoms are long delays in getting responses from clicks and sometimes connection timeouts. Even as I right this, I'm having a hard time.
Web Browser: Firefox 2.0.0.6.
OS: Windows XP SP2.

I have trouble in the morning too.
Usually the initial connection times out, and pages are slow to load.

This is the first time I've accessed the website/forum in the morning, and was surprised to see the server dropping out like it did..
I also had trouble trying to access the database through phpMyAdmin, as I was trying to figure out why the problems were occuring. Also, it looked like a db problem, as my website loads, but no database stuff if showing. I really have no idea, and tried googling for the errors I was getting ("error 12 from storage engine"), which I found out that it might be a caching problem, though I could be wrong. I don't want to assume anything at the moment as I'm not sure exactly how the error is occuring and why it's doing it. It's best for Sage to look at it when he gets the time.

According to the guys from the datacenter, there was an issue with one of the routers and the storage server is shitting it's pants over some obscure NFS issue. I've gotten a friend onto that one, seeing as he owns the goddamned storage server.
I just upgraded phpMyAdmin and it was running pretty shitty, so I had to tweak with that, so thats why Nick had issues with it. I kicked it in the teeth though and it started working!
